MONTHLY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Fourth Thursdays, 7 - 8:30p CT
Astrology is a whole language. To be fluent in it, in addition to learning the symbols, techniques, and archetypes, one must also listen to and engage in conversation with those who speak it. Astro Chats is an opportunity for astrology focused community members to do just this, while also learning about current astro-weather, different schools of astrology, techniques, and more.
Join us for a monthly dialogue between a rotating cast of Inner Sense's Astrology contributors. Each month, two or more of our astrologers will have a free-flowing conversation around astro-topics of their choosing. There will be time for questions and comments from listeners at the end of each gathering, too. Our group of contributing astrologers come from a variety of astrological backgrounds and approaches, so listeners will learn from different perspectives each month.
January 28th: Kate Heinricher & Drew Levanti
February 25th: Jordan Shomer & Jeannette Gomes
March 25th: Mallory Hasty & Kelsey Rose
THE BHAGAVAD GITA & OUR CURRENT WORLD: A READING & DISCUSSION GROUP
This community offering is free to attend, but registration is required as we will cap each session at ten participants.
This group meets monthly on the following Sundays from 4-5:30p central:
11/22, 12/13, 1/10, 2/7, 3/7
Join fellow community members in reading and discussing the Bhagavad Gita as it applies to our lives today. Looking around, it is abundantly clear that there is extensive work to be done on local, national and global levels. One of the ultimate teachings of the Bhagavad Gita is that we each have a role to play in this life and that our struggles are intertwined; our individual and collective liberation cannot fully happen independently of one another. The idea for this group is to parallel the story of the Gita with today’s world, exploring how we can apply the concepts to healing our communities and embodying our roles.
Each time we meet, we will spend time reading and in conversation, progressing through the book at whatever pace comes organically. No reading needs to take place outside of the group gatherings.
While regular attendance is encouraged, you are welcome to sign up and join for any part of the series, which will continue until we are through. Spots are limited so that everyone has ample opportunity to participate.
The Living Gita by Swami Satchidananda is recommended but any translation will do; even without a copy you are welcome to join to listen to others read and participate in conversation.
CRUCIAL CONVERSATIONS: LIVE-STREAMED YOUTUBE SHOW
3rd Fridays, usually at 6pm Central
Crucial Conversations is an online show produced by Inner Sense Healing Arts Collective, Chris Lam, and hosted and executively produced by Janita Harris.
Crucial Conversations airs live monthly interviews and panel discussions featuring members of the healing arts community that are passionate about identifying and addressing today’s challenges. In times of uncertainty, difficult moments create necessary change and healing in ourselves and in the world. Crucial Conversations initiates deep sharing and healing, and we invite you to engage intentionally with these dialogues.
Tune in on the 3rd Friday of each month (times vary, but usually at 6pm central) via the Inner Sense YouTube Page. If you miss us, you can always catch the replay!
3rd Saturdays, 6-8pm CT
Please join us for Inner Sense’s Death Café, now in the comfort of your own home! BYOCake, tea, coffee and/ or any other snacks you’d like.
A Death Café is a group-directed discussion to talk openly about our thoughts, ideas, feelings surrounding death, and our own mortality. As this pandemic claims more lives each day, it is now more important than ever to begin to actively participate in our grief, both individually and collectively. We have not only lost members of our community, but jobs, a sense of normalcy, freedom of movement, and touch, among others. Death Café is a safe space to vocalize what you've been processing and have virtual space be held for you.
In order to ensure an intimate environment for processing, this gathering has a maximum of 15 guests. To reserve your spot, please register through our website. There is no cost associated with registration, but participants are invited to make a donation through our PayPal.
Inner Sense Healing Arts is a non-profit organization. This is a free event but donations are welcome to continue supporting our efforts to provide beneficial programming now and into the future.
NEW MOON CIRCLES
7 - 8:30pm in the evenings on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday around a new moon.
The few days around a New Moon are best suited for stillness, reflection, and receiving. When we take time to rest, we create space for universal guidance to come through and can move into the next lunar cycle with clearer intentions. Let's gather in community moon-thly to hold space for the blessing of each new moon.
Virtual New Moon Circles are hosted by a rotating group of Inner Sense facilitators and are welcoming to all. Set up a comfortable space in your home, a small altar of sacred items, and something to write with and on. Tune in to connect to the energy of the new moon, to spirit, and to your self in the company of your community.
Each month you can expect an offering of meditation or visualization, an invitation for reflection and intention, rest, and an opportunity to share. Depending on the facilitator and the month, we might also explore gentle movement, Reiki or other energy work, astrological context, guidance from the Tarot or oracle decks, and other methods of connecting to source.
These circles are facilitated or co-facilitated by Rachel Sherron, Alia Walston, Christine Worden, and Kelsey Rose.
2nd Thursdays, 7:30 - 8:15p CT
This Reiki Meditation is open to all, regardless of prior experience with Reiki. Come with an open mind and a desire to receive and share energetic support.
We will begin with a guided meditation in which Reiki energy will be initiated to flow in and through all participants. After a period of deep rest and receiving, participants will be invited to return from their experience and join in the sharing of Reiki. Our closing meditation will guide all to send Reiki, prayers, healing, and intentions to our Selves, our loved ones, our larger communities, and the planet as a whole.
2nd Tuesdays, 7 - 8:30pm CT
There are several ways to approach learning tarot, but one potent method can be hard to find: listening in on conversations between professionals discussing their craft.
Join us for a monthly dialogue between ISHA’s first two Exploring Tarot teachers, Diana Rose Harper & Alia Walston. Through these discussions, Alia & Diana seek to demonstrate the living nature of tarot, how it can be integrated into our lives, and its participation with the stories of our existence. By allowing the conversation to go where it may while remaining grounded in the cards, Tarot Talks provides a beneficial & accessible learning experience for tarot enthusiasts at all levels. The tarot is a multifaceted gift, and these monthly talks aim to expand concepts of what tarot is and what it’s for, as well as enhance tarot fluency over time.
During each session, we’ll discuss cards relevant to the current season & times and explore viewer-submitted questions. Bring a notebook and your favorite deck!
