Marcelyn makes yoga's transformative physical, energetic and psychospiritual practices accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

In addition to over twenty years of yoga practice, her offerings are informed by study and work in ayurveda, yoga teaching for diversity, trauma informed yoga, yoga therapy, prison yoga, family yoga, Montessori early childhood education, regenerative ecological design, social activism, postanthropocentric thought, and various holistic traditions especially Sri Vidya Tantra.

She has shared yoga in studios, schools, community centers, art and activist spaces, jail, urban farms, and health care centers.

In addition to weekly public classes and private lessons, Marcelyn offers workshops in support of social justice and ecological healing.

Hatha Vinyasa

Tuesday, 7:45 - 9:00pm

>>> moderate (M), beginner friendly (B)

This yoga class will help you access enlivened energy and deep calm with a synergistic combination of movement, breath, and stillness. Both challenging and simpler poses will be offered as well as breathwork.

Yoga and Meditation for Experienced Practitioners

Thursday, 12:00 - 1:30pm

>>> moderate (M), energetic (E)

This class relies on Tantric and Ayurvedic wisdom and adapts to the season. It incorporates asana, bandha, pranayama, kriyas, mudras, mantra, and dharana leading toward meditation.

This class is for people who are able to breathe relatively smoothly through a practice that includes some complicated asana and pranayama, because they have enough experience to understand when and how to simplify or otherwise modify the techniques to keep themselves safe and still aligned with what’s happening in the room.

Yoga and Meditation for All

Saturday, 12:00 - 1:30pm

>>> moderate (M), beginner friendly (B)

This class relies on Tantric and Ayurvedic wisdom and adapts to the season. It incorporates physical yoga poses, breath work, energy practices, concentration with visualization, and silent repetitive chanting leading toward meditation.

This class is best for people with at least a little yoga experience, though all are welcome. Complicated and simpler options of techniques are offered and explained.
